Just thought we’d post this to make you all smile.

The clue was definitely in the lyrics of the song and so when Rage were told to censor their famously radio unfriendly chorus for a live session for the BBC, they said they would. They wouldn’t swear on national radio to the whole country would they??? Oh dear BBC. Scan forward to about 8.50 minutes. Genius.

BBC Sound of 2010 – Owl City

Owl City is a bit of a weird one for me. I’m not a big fan and just hear it as ‘Postal Service’ light but this one man purveyor of glitchy emo pop definitely seems to be doing something right as he is absolutely storming it in the states with a sell-out tour and over 100,000 hits a day on his MySpace. He has already won over his home country and his next step will be the UK.

I can totally see why BBC tipped Owl City but for me I think I will stick to playing the one and only Postal Service album ‘Give Up’ whilst I look forward to the long waited follow up.

Anyway here’s the link as this is definitely worth checking out for yourself. We all know everyone has different tastes. It’s one of the great things about music.

Elbow @ Abbey Road

The favourite album of last year for some DB members was Elbow’s ‘Seldom Seen Kid’. I just wanted to post this amazing version of Grounds for Divorce, recorded at Abbey Road, where they’ve re-recorded the whole album with the BBC concert orchestra.
