"F*** You I Won't Do What You Tell Me" – live on BBC Radio. Genius.
Just thought we’d post this to make you all smile.
The clue was definitely in the lyrics of the song and so when Rage were told to censor their famously radio unfriendly chorus for a live session for the BBC, they said they would. They wouldn’t swear on national radio to the whole country would they??? [...]
BBC Sound of 2010 – Owl City
Owl City is a bit of a weird one for me. I’m not a big fan and just hear it as ‘Postal Service’ light but this one man purveyor of glitchy emo pop definitely seems to be doing something right as he is absolutely storming it in the states with a sell-out tour and over [...]
Michael Kiwanuka… This kid is the real deal.

I have selfishly kept this artist to myself for a couple of months now as Michael Kiwanuka is the sort of artist that comes along once in a blue moon and I really wanted to savour the intimate shows that I have been lucky enough to check out over the last month. Don’t worry he will still be [...]

What a lovely way to spend a Wednesday evening…
I have never been fortunate enough to experience a gig in Soho’s church of St Giles in the Fields so I think that fact made last night’s gig even more special.
I walked in to the gorgeous chapel setting to be confronted by the psych sounds of Erland [...]

We are absolutely gutted to hear that The Halfmoon Putney, one of London’s last independent live music venues, may have to call time on almost 50 years of hosting live music. Dirty Boots started in South West London and so to lose a venue on our doorstep is a big deal to us.

Band of the day – Deathray Trebuchay!!
It just dawned on me that in the haste to move on from Glastonbury and in our quest to make Dirty Boots something bigger and better than ever before, we forgot one of those truly wonderful moments at Glastonbury, when Deathray Trebuchay came to play. It was just the most unexpected 30 minutes of wonderfulness, [...]

Somehow we’ve made it to Saturday and, as legions of Springsteen fans are still getting on-site this morning, we’re wading into the mire of the 4th full day of the Dirty Boots stage. It feels like we might never leave this place.
While The Broken Family Band are waking up most of the site from the [...]
