This track is taken from Jason’s new LP, Husbands, which comes out in late October and will surely appeal to fans of ambient sound-sculptors like Mountains, Tim Hecker, Fennesz, Eno, Emeralds, Growing and Cluster.

Husbands is Jason Urick’s solo debut.  Those well-versed in the Baltimore or experimental electronic music scenes might be familiar with his band WZT Hearts or his solo works as themoonstealingproject.  Husbands finds Urick at a crossroads where his ideas are becoming more fully realized, and while still experimental in nature, the songs are envisioned as an honest attempt at ‘pop’.

Apart from his work as a musician, Urick has been heavily involved in many areas of the Baltimore music scene for almost 10 years.  His efforts have helped contribute to the incredible current ‘movement’ there that has been in the spotlight for the last couple of years, and that same life-giving energy can be felt in the pulse of Husbands, a piece that brims with subtle complexities and slowly reveals itself with every listen.
