There are also quite a few albums that we contemplated putting in our top 30 but for some reason or another they did not make the final list (see our more detailed Top 10 list to see those that ALMOST made it).  Enough of this chatter though, here are the results in reverse order, from Number 30 to Number 11 with our Top 10 coming soon…

Gorgeous Namesakes surprise hit of the summer.

Smog in all but a name…

Bonkers sound of the summer festivals .

20. Jamie T – Kings & Queens
Punk, folk hip hop mash up.

19. Arctic Monkeys – Humbug
Rich, dark desert songs from Josh Homme’s new friends.

Dark minimalist love songs. Nancy and Lee for  2009.

Beautifully deep songs of loss.
